Polling Organisation: Progressive Scottish Opinion
Sample: 1034 adults
Fieldwork Dates: 03/01/2008 - 08/01/2008

Q1) SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT VOTING INTENTIONS (excluding don’t knows/won’t vote):
CONSTITUENCY VOTE:

LABOUR 37%
SNP 36%
CONSERVATIVE 13%
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS 12%
OTHERS 2%

REGIONAL VOTE:
LABOUR 38%
SNP 34%
CONSERVATIVE 14%
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS 11%
SCOTTISH GREEN PARTY 2%
OTHERS 2%

Professor Bill Miller of Glasgow University has translated the above figures into a projected number of Scottish Parliament seats:

Labour: 53 seats
SNP: 47 seats
Conservatives: 16 seats
Liberal Democrats: 12 seats
Others: 1 seat

- A quick calculation shows that based on these figures, both Nicola Sturgeon and Kenny MacAskill would lose their constituency seats. That will teach them to break their promises!
