Stick or Twist?

I feel sick and nervous. Not in a nice way like you might feel before a first date - but a more edgy, biggest-job-interview-of-your-life type feeling.

On the 10th of August I made a wild prediction that I thought Gordon Brown was going to call a snap election from his platform at party conference. If that’s going to happen, then that day is tomorrow.

I just can’t call it. It’s like having a hand of 17 in Blackjack, either way it’s a gamble. Will he stick with the hand he’s got or will he twist and go for broke?

What do I want to happen? Well if I’m brutally honest, the thought of an election terrifies me because of the impact it will have on my life. And Quite Frankly, I’m not sure I’m over the last one just yet. In terms of what’s best for the party, and for the country? - I think it’s worth a twist.

Postscript
I’ve had an unusually high number of anonymous comments recently, all asking me to comment on various things and I’m choosing not publish them or reply because this is my wee corner of the internet and I write the rules. If you put your name to it - I might just play ball.
